Introduction to Chainmaking [4 WEEK COURSE]

Come and learn the basics of chainmaking at my Brunswick East studio!

The Introduction to Chainmaking course consists of 4 x 2 hour classes where you will design and fabricate your own piece using silversmithing techniques.

The skills learnt in this course will be taught over 4 weeks and will focus on the each stage of the soldering and chainmaking processes.

Over the four weeks, you will design and fabricate your own pieces made from 925 sterling silver with access to an instructor (me).

The course will include the following:

- Studio Safety and PPE
- Design Discussion
- Preparing Materials
- Forming and Cutting
- Soldering and Pickling
- Shaping links (Basic forms)
- Cleaning & Polishing  

All tools and materials will be provided for you.

At the end of the 4 week course, you will take home your own design made out of 925 Sterling Silver, along with the skills to continue creating your own work.
